Riva Kishan was born on 4 July 1996, in [[Mumbai]], [[Maharashtra]], [[India]] to [[Ravi Kishan]] and Preeti Kishan. She has a brother Saksham and two sisters Tanishq Kishan and Ishita Shukla, all of them mentioned in her personal profiles.

She finished her early schooling in Mumbai, and later she graduated in Acting and Filmmaking from The Acting Corps Institute, USA. During that time she trained with veteran performer Naseeruddin Shah , and she also took part in theatre productions while learning.
