Shrutika Arjun is an Indian television personality and actress who worked in Tamil and Malayalam cinema. She began her acting career as a child artist in the early 2000s but stepped away from films to focus on her education and personal life. She returned to the entertainment industry in 2022 and gained widespread recognition after winning the reality cooking show Cooku with Comali 3. In 2024, she appeared as a contestant on the Hindi reality television show Bigg Boss 18.
Early and Personal Life
Shrutika Arjun was born on 17 September 1987 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Her paternal grandfather was the veteran Tamil actor 'Thengai Srinivasan. She completed her schooling at Adarsh Vidyalaya Higher Secondary School in Chennai. Her father is Tamil, while her mother is Punjabi. Her cousin Yogi and brother Adithya are also associated with the film industry.
She is married to businessman Arjun, and the couple has a son. In 2018, she launched her own Ayurvedic skincare brand named Haappy Herbs'.
Career
Shrutika began her film career at the age of 14 when she was selected to play the female lead opposite actor Suriya in the Tamil film Sri (2002). The film brought her early recognition, and critics praised her screen presence. She later received positive reviews for her performance as Ammu in the Malayalam film Swapnam Kondu Thulabharam.
In 2003, she appeared in supporting roles in the Tamil films Nala Damayanthi and Thithikudhe. After a brief acting career, she chose to step away from the film industry to continue her studies.
She made her comeback in 2022 through the popular reality cooking show Cooku with Comali 3, where she emerged as the winner. In 2024, she became the first Tamil contestant to participate in the Hindi reality show Bigg Boss 18, where she stayed in the house for 96 days.
