He completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery program as the top student of his university and later received a Gold Medal for his Master of Dental Surgery degree in Paediatric Dentistry from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
He obtained a Diploma in Orthodontics from the Orthodontic World Institute in Spain while he conducted research for his advanced studies which resulted in a Post-PhD Doctorate degree in Laser Biophotonics and Photodynamic Therapy.

Dr. Yavagal leads international laser dentistry research as a worldwide expert who uses light-based medical and dental treatment methods. He holds the position of Professor and Chair at Bapuji Laser Research Centre which operates inside Bapuji Dental College and Hospital in India.
