Sundar Pichai (born 10 June 1972) is an Indian-American business executive. He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Alphabet Inc. and its subsidiary Google.[4]
Early Life
Sundar was born in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. He showed exceptional talent in science and mathematics from an early age. He studied metallurgical engineering at IIT Kharagpur,[1] then went on to earn a master's from Stanford University,[2] and later an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.[3]
Career
He joined Google in 2004, where he led product management for Google Chrome and Chrome OS. He later oversaw the development of other applications such as Gmail and Google Maps.
In August 2015, Pichai became the CEO of Google.[4] In December 2019, he was also named the CEO of Alphabet Inc., Google's parent company.
