Aryan Khan is an Indian filmmaker, director, and screenwriter. He is the eldest son of actor Shah Rukh Khan and producer Gauri Khan. After graduating from the University of Southern California, he co-founded Slab Ventures in 2022 and launched a luxury brand called D’yavol.
Early Life & Education
Aryan Khan was born on 12 November 1997 in Mumbai, India.[1] He is the eldest son of actor Shah Rukh Khan and producer Gauri Khan and has two younger siblings, including actress Suhana.[2][3] He was brought up following both his parents’ religions, Islam and Hinduism. Aryan studied at Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai until age 15, then attended Sevenoaks School in Kent, England.[4]
As a child, he appeared as the young version of his father’s character in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham… (2001) and worked as a voice actor in the Hindi version of The Incredibles (2004) with his father. In 2020, he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in film and television production from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts.[5]
Career
In 2022, Aryan Khan, along with partners Bunty Singh and Leti Blagoeva, started a company called Slab Ventures and launched a luxury brand named D'yavol, inspired by the Bulgarian word for “devil.”[6] They partnered with Anheuser-Busch InBev to release a premium vodka called D'yavol Vodka and followed it up in 2023 with a blended malt scotch named D'yavol Inception.[7] That same year, Khan also launched a luxury clothing line, D'yavol X, and directed an ad video for it featuring himself and his father, marking his first time as a director.[8]
He voiced Simba in the Hindi version of The Lion King (2019),[9]and later dubbed Simba again in Mufasa: The Lion King (2024),[10]joining his father Shah Rukh Khan and younger brother AbRam in the cast.
From 2023 to 2024, Khan worked on a streaming series called The Ba**ds of Bollywood* as showrunner, writer, and director.[11] Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the series is set in the Hindi film industry and will release on Netflix in 2025. It stars Lakshya, Bobby Deol, and Sahher Bambba, and is co-written by Bilal Siddiqui and Manav Chauhan.[12][13]
In August 2025, Khan co-founded a premium tequila brand, D'Yavol Añejo, with Radico Khaitan and Shah Rukh Khan, planning a global launch by December.[14]
